Sloan Transportation Products Ltd. (Sloan) today announced the launch of its new MAXXDuty pogo stick. The new product is the industry’s first pogo made of composite materials and is redefining the category as the new benchmark for strength, durability, and ease of installation. The unique integrated hoop eliminates the need for zip ties, allowing operators to run hydraulic and wrapped lines through the hoop, while allowing for easy use of additional support clamps for coiled air and electrical lines. It is the only all-in-one solution available in the marketplace.
The MAXXDuty pogo is the product of a lengthy development process, which included several iterations exposed to extensive cycle testing and over a year of field trials in the harshest conditions. Its patented design features an extremely durable, injection molded, glass-filled nylon polymer top and base, and it allows for several attachment options. The rod is made in the USA of rigid, pultruded fiberglass. All of the composite, nylon, and fiberglass components are UV resistant, and any internal metal pieces are encapsulated in a protective casing. The mounting bolt, nut, and washer are the only exposed metal components on the pogo, and they are zinc-plated for corrosion resistance.
The MAXXDuty pogo is available in a 40-inch length and is ideally suited for Sloan’s MAXXDuty 3-in-1 and 4-in-1 wraps designed to efficiently manage air, electrical, and hydraulic lines, but it can be used with any heavy-duty line and cable configurations.
Sloan Transportation Products Ltd. (Sloan) today announced the release of its newly redesigned 45-inch heavy-duty pogo stick for over the road use. The new design features a thicker gauge heavy-duty spring and offers a life cycle that lasts three-times longer than the previous design. It is available in the choice of a chrome or zinc-plated dichromate steel support arm. Additionally, the base is over three-times larger and the new 3.75-inch diameter housing eliminates spring binding and provides increased resistance to sagging and bending.

- - A forged steel mounting stud, 7/16-20
- - For use with all nylon and rubber air brake hoses
- - Improved packaging (new heavy-duty full overlap ECT 44 box)
- - Eyebolt and nut included
When tested, the Sloan heavy-duty pogo stick has consistently outperformed similar products. It has a better ability to handle increasing force when compared against the degrees from vertical. The new spring design provides more resistance along with the necessary flexibility needed to function properly. This product update replaces Sloan P/N 451057, 451058, 451059, 451060 part numbers.
Sloan has recently added standpipes
to their ever-growing selection of products. The benefits of standpipes are that no tools are required for assembly
and disassembly. They are a flexible
alternative for tight routing configurations and a common application for suspension
bags, gauges, behind the dash, and under the seat applications. They have molded
tube support for sizes 4 & 6 and meets DOT/SAE performance requirements.

As the centerpiece of the new Sloan website, the company’s newly updated 200-page comprehensive digital catalog of OE and aftermarket air systems, electrical, and engine parts still functions as a searchable PDF document. It can be viewed online, downloaded and saved to the viewer’s desktop, or printed in sections or in its entirety. Viewers can page easily through the catalog or move from section to section through convenient hyperlinks. This version of the catalog is another step by Sloan to fully integrate its product line into its web site and move toward full e-commerce capabilities, creating even greater ease of doing business for its customers.
